Introduction:

In this case study, we will explore how we leveraged data-driven ecommerce marketing strategies for a pet brand with great success.

The marketing team behind the brand had previously been relying on influencer marketing strategies which was a good start, but eventually they found it was too much resource to manage, and inconsistent in performance. They also had limited knowledge about running ads and entrusted us to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Objectives 

The brand initially focused on influencer partnerships and dabbled with some Facebook ads internally to reach their target audience. They had no real results on their own unfortunately and were skeptical of whether it would work for their brand and product.

We took over the account and began working our magic. By optimizing their account structure, ad creatives, targeting, and messaging, they were able to see significant improvements in their return on ad spend (ROAS) and cost per acquisition (CPA). This success encouraged them to explore other advertising avenues such as Google Ads, including Shopping Ads and Performance Max Ads.

With strategic planning and continuous optimization, the brand saw remarkable results with Google Ads as well. The combination of Facebook ads and Google ads allowed them to reach a wider audience across different platforms while maintaining a consistent brand message.

Although yet to test TikTok and Pinterest ads, the brand’s success with Facebook and Google ads paved the way for further expansion into these platforms. By diversifying their advertising channels, they aimed to tap into new audiences and drive additional traffic to their ecommerce store.

One of the key highlights of this case study is how the brand managed to scale its revenue profitably. Starting from less than $20k per month, they were able to increase their monthly sales to over $60k within the first 180 days while maintaining positive ROI. This growth was made possible through data-driven decision-making, continuous testing, and optimization based on performance metrics. 

We could have also scaled even more aggressively than this, but client was constantly running into supply/stock issues which we’re helping them work through now to prevent it happening in the future. As it does hurt momentum when we need to scale down high spending campaigns generating high conversion volume.
